SCBWA TO HOLD MONTHLY LUNCHEON

The Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association will host its monthly luncheon on March 15 at noon at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, at 1451 Middle Gulf Drive, Sanibel.

In honor of March being Women’s History Month, the guest speaker will be Deb Gleason. She will speaking about the history of women on Sanibel. Gleason will focus on the life of early female settlers on the island, as well as women who made their mark by being the first to hold key positions.

Also in recognition of Women’s History Month, the SCBWA is holding a donation drive for Dress for Success. It will accept donations of gently used clothing, shoes or jewelry at the meeting and at its monthly after-hours event on March 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 400 Rabbits, at 975 Rabbit Road, Sanibel.

SAN CAP COMMUNITY BANK PROMOTES ROMERO

Sanibel Captiva Community Bank announced the promotion of Puja Romero to residential loan officer.

She has over 15 years of banking experience and has been with Sanibel Captiva bank since 2012. Romero worked on the retail side until five years ago, when she transitioned to the residential lending division as a loan processor at the Downtown Branch in Fort Myers.

MARQUARDT JOINS SAN CAP TRUST COMPANY

The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company announced the newest member of the Wealth Services team, Senior Vice President and wealth services advisor Megan M. Marquardt.

Located at the Palm Ridge Road office, she brings more than 20 years of experience serving trust and investment clients. Her responsibilities encompass understanding clients’ financial and estate planning needs and determining how best to reach their goals.

Marquardt joined the company from Busey Wealth Management in Fort Myers, having served as a senior vice president and private wealth advisor. Prior to joining Busey, she was with FineMark National Bank & Trust in Southwest Florida, where she held several roles with the most recent as a private wealth advisor.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Marquardt attended Indiana University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance, followed by the University of Miami, where she received her Certificate of Financial Planning. She is a graduate of the Florida Bankers Associates Graduate Trust School and obtained the Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor designation through the Institute of Certified Bankers.

Marquardt is affiliated with the Estate Planning Council of Lee County, serves as a United Way Allocation Committee Team Lead, is a Sheriff’s Youth Activity League board member, and a past treasurer and executive board member of the Guardian Ad Litem Foundation.
