One of the most entertaining aspects of Disney+’s The Mandalorian the all-star cast and guest stars and cameos by a many favorite actors and actresses, starting with the main man himself Luke Skywalker played by the legendary Mark Hamill; another surprise was comedian Bill Burr starting as Migs Mayfeld, actor/director Taika Waititi as IG-11, and Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth, to name a few.
This new season has all fans craving new additions to the cast and both Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are well aware that having legendary actors is a great way to bring back nostalgia.
Chistopher Lloyd is famously known for his role as Dr. Emmit Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, recently portrayed a bitter grandpa in George Clooney’s The Tender Bar, is confirmed to be joining Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and Grogu (most commonly called Baby Yoda) in their space adventures throughout the Outer Rim.
Although there is some speculation, as of now, there is no confirmation on what role Christopher Lloyd will play
As expected, Lucasfilm has not shared any details regarding the role Lloyd will play, however just the news of his addition to the cast has fans already speculating on what character he will play, some say that he will join as Cal Kestis, the protagonist of the Star Wars: Fallen Order video game.
Season 3 of the Mandalorian is scheduled to premier on December 2022
Disney+ is currently in preparation for the release of the second season of The Bad Batch premiering on May 4th and the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series that starts Scottish actor Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the legendary Jedi Master and Skywalker’s protector in the desert planet of Tatooine. The release date for this new show is this May 25th.
