The Paris Saint-Germain striker missed his country’s 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast on Friday night due to a throat infection, but will be available for their Bafana Bafana friendly this week.
Deschamps did not confirm whether or not the 23-year-old would start against Hugo Broos’ side, but there was an indication that Mbappe is likely to earn his 54th cap for Les Bleus on Tuesday in Lille.
“He is much better, he will be there on Tuesday,” he told French TV channel TF1.
