DoT issues rules for surrender of administratively allotted spectrum
- The Department of Telecommunications has said that companies need to inform the government 30 to 60 days before the proposed date of surrender of administratively assigned spectrum.
- As per the guidelines for surrender of administratively assigned spectrum, with access service authorisation, issued on Friday, the DoT said that the intimation by companies should be done not before 60 days and not later than 30 days, prior to the surrender date.

Now $8 Twitter Blue service disappears on iOS app
Several Twitter users on Friday reported that the new $7.99 Blue subscription service suddently disappeared from their iOS app, as Elon Musk claimed the platform has hit an ‘all-time high of active users’. App researcher Jane Manchun Wong said that Twitter seems to have unlaunched the new $7.99 Twitter Blue subscription. “Checked with Twitter’s API and the in-app purchase for Twitter Blue Verified is no longer listed for production,” she commented. Several Twitter users reported that the option to sign up for the paid Blue subscription service just vanished from the sidebar in the iOS app.

The country’s reserves were at $531.08 billion as of Oct. 28, rising about $6.5 billion during the week likely due to revaluation changes on the back of a softer dollar.

Delhi’s Patiala House Court extends the interim bail of actor Jacqueline Fernandez till 15th November. The order on regular bail will be pronounced on that day.A Delhi court on Friday rapped the Enforcement Directorate for adopting a pick-and-choose policy, and asked why the agency had not arrested actor Jacqueline Fernandez despite issuing a lookout circular against her in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar.Special Judge Shailendra Malik, who had earlier granted Fernandez interim bail, reserved order for Friday on the bail plea of the actor after hearing arguments from the lawyers appearing for Fernandez as well as the ED. The court had on August 31 taken cognisance of a supplementary charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and asked Fernandez to appear before the court. Fernandez, who was summoned by the ED several times in connection with the investigation, has been named as an accused for the first time in the supplementary charge sheet. The ED’s earlier charge sheet and a supplementary charge sheet did not mention her as an accused. The documents, however, had mentioned the details of the statements recorded by Fernandez and fellow actor Nora Fatehi.
