Local beauty business shortlisted for national competition

L R Pro Studio based in Peterborough has just been shortlisted in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards for the ‘Best Brows’ category.

L R Pro Studio is a cruelty free and vegan beauty business in Priestgate, specialising in brows and semi permanent makeup, which is renowned for providing customers with first class service.

The UK Hair and Beauty Awards celebrate the hair and beauty industry nationwide in an aim to support businesses both large and small.

After a long year of struggle and strife for so many UK based hair and beauty industry professionals, the hair and beauty awards are breaking down barriers, helping contestants build followings and recognition.

This has been a long journey for the director and Brow Specialist at L R Pro, Lucy Hanagan, who started her profession in 2007 bouncing around and freelancing jobs.

She first saw major success in the industry when she was handpicked by Lucia Pica, now former creative make-up and colour director for Chanel. Lucy spent many years working on red carpets, fashion weeks and celebrities with her work being featured in beauty and bridal magazines.

“After garnering all that experience, I felt like it was finally time to branch out on my own.” Lucy said.

“I wanted to create a space where all women could come without feeling judged or intimidated whilst feeling confident , happy and beautiful in their own skin and I feel like I have done that with L R Pro Studio.”

All the hard work has paid off, with L R Pro studio being shortlisted for the ‘Best Brows’ category in the nationally recognised hair and beauty awards.

Lucy said: “Being shortlisted helps to build recognition and support. But for my business personally, it gives a seal of approval for my work, not only exposing my business to potential new clients who can put their trust in me and my services but it also represents a sign of quality in such a competitive industry/market.”

Lucy added; “I’m so proud to be shortlisted with so many other talented brow artists around the UK and receive recognition for my work by the industry’s leading professionals and judges.”

“Any successful business takes a lot of hard work, patience and dedication, but particularly in the last few years – it’s been tough, especially due to lockdowns and Covid. I have such a huge love and passion for my work, and I wouldn’t be here without all my amazing clients who put their trust in me.”
