Magic City Equality will hold an event today through Sunday to celebrate Pride.
Shannon Krueger, executive board member, said the fun will begin at 7 tonight at The Spot, located at 6 2nd St. NE in Minot, with a pub crawl for those 21 and up. The pub crawl will take participants to different spots throughout downtown Minot and then end back at The Spot with a social and dance.
On Saturday there will be a family-friendly event at the Spot with booths, vendors, and food trucks from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be a drag show at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Hotel in Minot. Krueger said there will be old performers and new. The event is intended for people ages 16 and up. Tickets are $20 at the door for the drag show.
On Sunday there will be a noon brunch in the Luxe Lounge at the Grand Hotel for those 21 and up. The Pride Weekend activities will conclude with a family picnic in Shelter No. 11 at Oak Park from 5-8 p.m. Krueger said the picnic will include free food and yard games.
Krueger said activies will take place rain or shine and all proceeds from the event will go to support scholarships, youth programs, and help members of the LGBTQ+ community.
