NBA DFS: Luka Doncic and best FanDuel, DraftKings daily Fantasy basketball picks for March 11, 2022

The Miami Heat have only lost three times of their last 15 games, but one of those losses came in their last outing in a 21-point defeat to the Phoenix Suns. Swingman Duncan Robinson has been a fixture in the starting lineup over those last 15 games, and he’s coming off of a 22-point performance against Phoenix. Robinson’s bread-and-butter is his three-point shooting, but is he worth plucking from the NBA DFS player pool on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel on Friday against Cleveland?

Robinson went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc on Wednesday, and Cleveland has allowed opponents to hit 40.4 percent of their threes over their last three games. If Robinson can stay hot, he could provide a big boost to NBA DFS lineups with his outside shooting, as the Cavs have also allowed the fifth-highest three-point percentage when they are the visiting team this season. Before you make your NBA DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

On Thursday, McClure listed 76ers center Joel Embiid as one of his top NBA DFS picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Embiid finished with his 33rd double-double of the season and logged 27 points and 12 rebounds to go with two assists and a block, which returned 47.5 points on DraftKings and 43.4 points FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Friday, March 11, NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, March 11

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks on Thursday is Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic, who is listed at $12,000 on DraftKings and $10,700 on FanDuel. Since missing a game against the Kings last Saturday with a toe sprain, Doncic hasn’t missed a beat in his last two starts. Against the Jazz and Knicks, he scored 66 total points, grabbed 22 rebounds and picked out 11 assists as the Mavericks split the results with a win and a loss.

Doncic should be looking to keep that up on Friday at Houston. Doncic missed the last time Dallas faced the Rockets, but he scored 26 points and added 14 rebounds, seven assists and two steals when they played in the third game of the season. The encouraging thing about his play as of late is he has been much more efficient, and over his last five starts, he’s hit half of his attempts from the field.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering New Orleans point guard Devonte’ Graham ($4,300 on both DraftKings and FanDuel). The Pelicans will be short on offense tonight at home against Charlotte without CJ McCollum (health and safety protocols) and Brandon Ingram (hamstring). The Hornets have been one of the worst defensive teams all season, so the added opportunity against a soft defense should benefit Graham, who should be highly motivated vs. the team that traded him away this past offseason.

Graham is expected to be back in the starting lineup on Friday, where he has spent most of the season prior to the trade for McCollum. As a starter this year, he’s averaged 13 points, 4.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds over 54 games. Over Charlotte’s last two games, it allowed Kyrie Irving to score 50 points on Tuesday, and Marcus Smart to hit half of his shots and pass out nine assists on Wednesday, so Graham should find a way to be productive.
