Samuel J. Suchanick Jr., 56, of Barberton, OH and formerly from Fredonia, NY passed away suddenly on Wednesday January 19, 2022.
Born in Sellersville, PA to the late Samuel J Suchanick Sr., formerly of Perkasie and Anne Suchanick, formerly of Sellersville. He lived in the area for many years prior to moving with his family to Fredonia, NY in 2002. Sam was a contractor majority of his life, owning his business S&S Quality Construction. Sam was also a Volunteer Firefighter at Perkasie and Sellersville Fire Departments, and was firefighter of the year in 1995. Sam was a passionate and thoughtful person, and was always there to lend a helping hand. Sam made friends very easily and his shared laughs and stories will be missed dearly by all. In Sam’s spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking, along with watching car races with his friends and children.
Samuel is survived by former spouse Helen and their daughters Kayla and Hannah, a son Samuel J. Suchanick III (Lauren), brother Seth Suchanick (Dawn), sisters Austine Dougherty (Eric), Andrene Zwierlein (Brad), and Alane Dooley (Robert). Also surviving are many nephews and nieces, along with two great nephews.
As part of Sam’s passion to help others, he donated his body to Cleveland Clinic in an effort to enhance medical students and research.
A memorial mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk on March 3rd at 5:30 p.m. All friends and family of Sam are more than welcome to join and celebrate the happiness he brought to others. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Sellersville, PA. An announcement will be made when more information is available.
