Section VI Class C, D baseball title games moved to Sunday | News, Sports, Jobs

The Section VI Class C and D championship baseball games, originally scheduled for today at Diethrick Park in Jamestown, have been moved to Sunday at the same site.

No. 1 Clymer/Sherman/Panama will take on No. 2 Franklinville at 2 p.m. in the Class D title game, while No. 1 Portville will square off against No. 2 Gowanda in the Class C championship contest at 5 p.m.

The schedule changes were announced Friday by Section VI.

Clymer/Sherman/Panama reached the championship game by virtue of its 10-0 five-inning Class D semifinal victory over No. 4 Ellicottville on Thursday. Gowanda, meanwhile, advanced after knocking off No. 3 Maple Grove 8-3 in the Class C semifinal the same day.
