What’s it like to have the one and only Selena Gomez (Only Murderers in the Building actress extraordinaire, Selena + Chef star, Rare Beauty contouring expert, etc) as your big sister? Turns out it involves going to concerts and jamming out to Olivia Rodrigo, two adorably normal things to do with your sis.
Just ask Gracie Elliot Teefey, Selena’s baby sister. Selena posted the cutest TikTok of the two of them at an Olivia Rodrigo concert together on August 20th. The singer wore a black top and a sold-out lavender bucket hat with “SOUR TOUR” written on the front, part of Olivia’s tour merch drop. Selena smiles at her baby sister while singing along to the lyrics to “driver’s license,” lip-synching the words “I just can’t imagine how you could be so OK now that I’m gone.” Selena taps her nose and then taps Gracie’s nose before the nine year old throws her arms around her big sister, giving her a tight hug.
It’s just about the cutest thing we’ve seen all week, and Selena’s fans on TikTok seemed to agree as the video currently has 1.3 million likes and counting. “SELENA YOU WHOULD BE THE BEST MOM OMG” commented one fan, while another mused, “Definitely core memory that will be with her forever.”
We can’t get enough of this big sister Selena content — their heartwarming interactions are what our social media feeds need these days.
In 2017, Selena posted a video of a conversation she had with Gracie where she encouraged her baby sister to be totally fearless. “I’m not scared,” Gracie told her, to which Selena replied, “I know, because you’re fearless, right? You’re not scared of anything, right?” before giving her a high-five. The singer captioned her post, “I will forever let my sister know she is strong, bold and beautiful. She will be raised to know her voice matters. She is going to understand the importance behind being a leader and inspire others by her truth.” ❤️
And if you’re wondering when the “Ice Cream” singer will be dropping her next hit, Selena teased in a TikTok with no sound that she’s been in the studio cooking up something new. Here’s hoping that it’s another album!
