What really lies behind the mask of beautiful smiles, fashionable clothes and unheard of popularity? Read on for a story that will change your mind about the fashion industry.
The world of fashion is cruel and often dangerous, but this is the other side of the coin that we, as viewers, simply do not see and most do not even know about it. The truth is that the models that we see in designer clothes, with a perfect figure and skin, are actually under constant pressure and all of the above is just a mask.
Endless auditions, high demands from agents and designers, insane competition, and lack of privacy – all this is a heavy burden that falls on the shoulders of everyone who works in the fashion industry. Girls and guys who work as models are actually subject to severe stress, depression, and psychological disorders. Someone manages to cope with this, but there are those who are not able to survive it all and, unfortunately, give up.
Chesley Krist
“Miss USA 2019” Chesley Krist committed suicide. She was 30 years old. Chesley jumped out of the window of her apartment in New York. Shortly before this happened, the woman posted the following on her Instagram: “May this day bring you peace and peace,” and left a suicide note.
Chelsea Crest also worked as a lawyer, helping unjust prisoners. And her victory at the Miss USA 2019 pageant was historic, because that year the winners of America’s three largest beauty pageants were black women.
The woman recalled her emotional state earlier, saying that she attends psychologist sessions, and also a year before the tragedy she admitted that she was criticized because of her age and appearance. Her body was called “male” and too inflated. The model specifically talked about how she feels the pressure of society because of her 30th birthday.

Kim Da Ul
The news of the death of the South Korean model Dol Kim shocked not only close friends of the model, but also everyone who knew and followed the work of the 20-year-old beauty. The supermodel and blogger committed suicide in her Paris apartment on November 19, 2009. In the blog that the girl led, her last entry was extremely depressing – the model posted a post called “Salute to eternity” along with the song “I Go Deep”. She became a victim of cyberbullying when she starred in a candid photo shoot, in which she was blonde. Thousands of angry Koreans responded by bombarding her with emails attacking her for being depraved or not proud of her Korean heritage and trying to make herself white.
However, the girl tried to defend herself, answering the haters that she was extremely proud of being from Korea, but for her this did not mean limiting herself and listening to what others told her. She also asked her critics if they accused the white model who dyed her hair black of “trying to be Asian”. Kim justified that it was a shoot in one of the most respected fashion magazines in the world, and not in an adult video. And there were many such cases of criticism and bullying.
