The Tigers continue AAC action against arguably the top team in the conference over the season’s first few months, as the Knights come to town. UCF leads the all-time series 27-24 dating back to 2006. The Knights won three of four at home vs. Memphis last season and picked up a win over the Tigers in the AAC Tournament. UCF holds a win over then #2 Ole Miss, a win over current top-10 Miami (FL), and just swept in-state rival South Florida in a three-game set that opened conference play. The Knights enter the week with the best team ERA in the AAC, 3.09, a full run better than any other team in the conference. Three different UCF pitchers have already taken home AAC Pitcher of the Week honors, with Connor Staine winning it twice. Ben McCabe won AAC Player of the Week for the first week of the season and matched that with his performance last week. UCF is one of only two schools, along with South Florida, to have both a Player of the Week and a Pitcher of the Week in the AAC this season.
