Tornado watch in effect for county, upstate | News, Sports, Jobs

The passage of a cold front is causing severe storms and led to a tornado watch.

The National Weather Service put up a severe thunderstorm warning for Chautauqua County until 3:30 p.m. Radar indicated some nasty storms extending in a line right through the middle of the county, from Findley Lake to South Dayton.

The tornado watch, issued at 2:45 p.m., extends through 11 p.m. and includes most of upstate New York.
