Track and Field to Travel to Nashville for Indoor Music City Challenge

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis track and field will head to Nashville, Tenn., to compete in the two-day Indoor Music City Challenge this weekend.
 
Hosted by Vanderbilt University, the meet will take place at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility. This is the Tigers’ second indoor meet there this season. Competition will begin Friday at 2 p.m. with the women’s high jump and will conclude late Saturday afternoon after all track events.
 
Last weekend at the South Alabama USA Invitational, the Tigers had 11 top-five performances across all events. 
 
Going into this weekend, several athletes rank among the top-three in the American Athletic Conference in their respective events including Parker EvansSamantha LentonIason MachairasDeeNia McMillerCole Riddle and Robby Watson.
 
Competing Teams: Alabama, Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Duke, Eastern Kentucky, FIU, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Lipscomb, LSU, Memphis, Meridian Community College, Miami [Ohio], Michigan State, Mississippi State, Murray State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Samford, SMU, Southern Illinois, Southern Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UMass Lowell, Vanderbilt, Villanova and Western Illinois.
