Where is ‘Love Island: Aftersun’ filmed and can you get tickets?

Where is Love Island: Aftersun filmed, exactly? Here’s everything we know about the show’s current location and how you can snag tickets to see Maya Jama and her new line-up of Love Island: Aftersun panelists!
As fans will know, season 9 is now in full swing, with all of our 2023 Love Island cast members currently sunning themselves, poolside in South Africa, where the winter Love Island UK is being filmed. And with the return of everyone’s fave reality show, also comes the spin-off chatshow, Aftersun, which is dedicated to all things villa life—from discussions on the week’s mad moves to interviews with recently dumped islanders.
The first episode of Aftersun aired on January 22 in the UK and saw new host, Maya Jama joined by a number of familiar Love Island 2022 cast members and a few other reality stars to discuss the first week of the show, but unlike our islanders—who are skipping the harsh UK winter—Maya and her Aftersun panel aren’t quite so lucky…
So, for anyone wondering where Love Island: Aftersun is currently being filmed, who the panelist are and how to score tickets—we’ve got you.
Where is ‘Love Island: Aftersun’ filmed?
It might surprise some fans to know that Love Island: Aftersun is actually filmed in the UK, despite the glamorous destination of the Love Island 2023 villa.
The chat show is filmed in the BBC’s Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, meaning Maya has quite the commute to visit the islanders IRL. In fact, the mileage between the villa and the Aftersun studio has sparked some online discourse in the past, with fans calling out the show and previous host, Laura Whitmore on the environmental impact of all her flights between Mallorca (the summer Love Island location) and the London-based Aftersun studio.
In response though, Laura revealed that she was actually contractually obligated to offset her Love Island carbon footprint, so we would assume that Maya’s contract features a similar requirement.
With Aftersun airing every Sunday back in the UK, it also means that we won’t see as many of Maya’s Love Island outfits as we would’ve hoped for—though she will return to the villa for Casa Amor and for the Love Island final.
Who are the ‘Love Island: Aftersun’ presenters?
The show is presented by Love Island’s host, Maya Jama, who is joined by panelists Sam Thompson—known for his role in Made In Chelsea and his relationship with popular Love Island bombshell Zara McDermott—and Love Island 2022’s Indiyah Polack.
In episode one of Aftersun, the trio was also joined by Tasha and Andrew, who are one of the many Love Island couples still together from season 8 and radio presenter Jordan North.
Can I get tickets for ‘Love Island: Aftersun’?
A silver lining of Aftersun being filmed in the UK is that you don’t need to plan a whole holiday just to be in the audience.
In fact, right now you can snap up tickets to the next episode of the show by heading over to the Applause Store (opens in new tab). Oh, and did we mention that the tickets are free?
